PROJECT PURPOSE

We are seeking $8,000 to invest in equipment to enable our staff to utilize remote working when supporting volunteers. This will help us to continue to provide quality supervision while ensuring our staff are taking any safety precautions necessary with any future Covid variants. We would like to purchase 10 laptops, docking stations and monitors for staff and volunteers.

EVIDENCE

Over the last two years we have learned the importance of flexibility and the ability to work remotely relating to employee satisfaction and optimal performance. Both of these have an impact on volunteer retention and satisfaction.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

We advocate for abused and neglected children in state custody in the juvenile court system in Tulsa County. Since the pandemic started we have seen more children in custody in our county with more severe trauma and mental health needs and less consistent placements and service providers. Our volunteers are consistent and zealously advocate for permanency as well as services for the children they serve. They do not let their CASA children fall through the cracks.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

We continuously measure volunteer satisfaction with our staff and program through surveys and retention data. Additionally, we will measure employee satisfaction by reviews and retention. We believe quality technology (laptops) will increase satisfaction and retention for staff and volunteers.
