PROJECT PURPOSE
The Department of Public Safety, Driver License Services Division is requesting ARPA funds to purchase equipment to assist Driver License Examiners in the verification process of identification documents presented to the Department.
EVIDENCE
The use of state-of-the-art equipment to verify a customer's identification documents presented to the Department will ensure the Department issues a secure identity document. Many states and the federal government are using new technology to aid in the verification of identification process.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Having the tools to ensure identification documents are valid will allow the Department to issue a secure Oklahoma credential to Oklahoma citizens. The credential will provide positive identification to other state and federal agencies, especially to those agencies that are providing services to reduce the spread of or provide treatment for COVID-19.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The statement of work will consist of the purchase of the equipment that will be used to verify identification documents. The project performance will be measured by acceptance of equipment, configuration, licensing, and system implementation.
