PROJECT PURPOSE

Our mission is to enable adults in Oklahoma with developmental and intellectual disabilities to lead meaningful lives. We serve adults through our residential and vocational programs. We ensure that every client under our care is safe, secure, and healthy so they can thrive.

EVIDENCE

ABLE has become a well-respected provider of services to people with developmental disabilities. ABLE has achieved a multi-decade certification by the Department of Human Services, Developmental Services Division (DHS-DDSD) and is a trusted partner with many organizations in the Oklahoma city metropolitan area.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

We serve adults (18 and up) in Oklahoma with developmental or intellectual disabilities. To insure our clients safety, we did not allow them to complete their community service projects that require face to face contact for a year. Due to this, we tought new job skills at our sheltered workshop. Due to the stay at home orders and guidelines suggested to us from Oklahoma DHS we are also kept our clients in their residences for a year. This caused additional food and utility costs. Funding is needed for supplies for skills training for our sheltered workshop, and residential support.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

Our clients are also clients of DHS and DDSD. We have to record performance of each client in both our vocational and residential programs.
