PROJECT PURPOSE

Our program is ongoing, we have been struggling to make ends meet since COVID impacted many of our donors. Our building rent was raised by 50% and we have been doing everything we can to just stay in our lease. Much of our product is donated but we do purchase beds and bedding sometimes. We strive to provide 350 to 500 beds for families in need. Many people can get help with food and housing but many of these families are sleeping in overcrowded beds or on the floor. We want everyone to have a fair chance at a restful night's sleep to help deal with the many negative impacts with financial struggles.

EVIDENCE

Case workers from many of the wonderful state's nonprofits can attest to the positive outcomes of what our service can provide. We make an impactful change with each and every delivery we make.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

Since 2008, we have served the following populations. Families going from being on the streets to having a home. Domestic abuse victims/families fleeing terrible situations. Re-integration after prison, re-unification from prison or DHS. Families from fire tragedies. We are there to help complete the processes of other nonprofits that work hard to help clients to get housing. We come in and help them feel dignity by not sleeping on a dirty mattress pulled from a dumpster or curb, or just simply sleeping on a hard floor at night. We are one of 3 organizations in the state that provides this service. There are way more in need than we can collectively serve.
