PROJECT PURPOSE
During Covid our municipal pool was shut down, upon trying to re-open the sand filter was inoperable due to sitting idle for two years. A new sand filter is needed at a cost of 25,000
EVIDENCE
The council approved closing the pool to minimize covid contact. The city council has been trying to get the pool re-opened for the past year and have discussed it in council. Our engineering firm can validate this issue in writing.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Those who have been disproportionately effected are those who utilize the municipal pool, include poverty stricken children, handicapped people who utilize the pool for exercise and rehabilitation and those who have no where to go in the summer when parents are working. These people were adversely affected both in mental health and physical exercise by not being able to participate during the pandemic
