PROJECT PURPOSE
The Department of Public Safety, Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is requesting ARPA funds to purchase twenty (20) AVON FM53 Air Purifying Respirator kits.
EVIDENCE
The AVON FM53 Purifying Respirator kit is used by law enforcement agencies throughout the nation to provide highly effective protection against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear hazards that law enforcement officers could face during high-risk events.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
The full-face gas masks are made by AVON Protection Systems. Gas masks cover the mouth, nose, and eyes to protect first responders from CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) hazards. They use a replaceable canister to filter one or more hazards from the air. The lens and seal prevent hazards from reaching the face and eyes.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The statement of work will consist of the purchase of the AVON FM53 Air Purifying Respirator kits. The measurement will be the purchase and operational readiness of the respirator kits.
