PROJECT PURPOSE
Since 1988, the purpose of Adult & Teen Challenge of Oklahoma is to provide residential and non-residential recovery solutions to those struggling with substance abuse. We currently have over 800 people receiving residential services yearly in our seven recovery centers. The monies requested are to invest in reaching more Oklahoman's with recovery services. Covid impacted revenue which limited our ability to offer full residential services. We also will launch more non-residential recovery programs through our new service called Living Free Community.
EVIDENCE
Adult & Teen Challenge was founded over 60 years ago and there are now 221 throughout the U.S. We go through a rigorous accreditatio process through Teen Challenge USA. Living Free has been in existence for over 30 years and has over 30 small support group curriculums that are administered in over 100 locations throughout the United States.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
We seek to help those who are struggling with substance abuse. During the Covid pandemic, the rate of drug overdoses doubled from sixty-seven thousand to One hundred and forty thousand. Overdose is the leading cause of death for those under the age of 50. Adult & Teen Challenge Oklahoma provides over 350 residential services everyday for those struggling with substance abuse. We reach these vulnerable people everyday with sustainable low cost services.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
We track the progress of our program through our client tracking portal which provides data on our client's recovery progress. We currently have a 78% success rate for those who complete the Adult & Teen Challenge program.
