PROJECT PURPOSE

to pay off the note at the bank for the emergency we had with a collapsed sewer line on June 11, 2021. On June 11, 2021, the existing 12? concrete sewer outfall line west of US Highway 277 caved in causing a sinkhole in the gravel driveway to the Town of Fletcher?s sewer lagoons and blocking the sewerline resulting in a sewer backup and overflow. Town maintenance personnel attempted to clear the blockage by flushing the sewerline but had no success. So, they excavated the sinkhole area and were able to clear enough of the blockage to allow sanitary sewage to continue flowing thru the open excavation and continue into the sewer lagoon. While the sewerline was blocked, sewerage overflowed the junction box located on the west side of West Drive for roughly eight hours. The Town notified the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality of the bypass and cleaned up the area once the bypass was abated.
