PROJECT PURPOSE
This project will be used to purchase diving equipment for the Calera Fire Rescue Dive team that responds throughout Southeastern Oklahoma. The equipment would allow the divers to completely seal off their skin and respiratory system to prevent catching covid19 during a rescue or recovery.
EVIDENCE
Currently their are no Dive teams in Southeastern Oklahoma. Oklahoma Highway Patrol is the only organization with this capability and waiting on their response makes all events a recover.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Lake Texoma and many other tourist destinations often do not have a permanent population, but large number or visitors. The pandemic has changed the way public safety responds to rescue incidents. As first responders we step into situations that require a higher level of personal protection equipment.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
Project Performance will be rated by training and incident response. The data will be collected in the Fire Departments Reporting Software. Reports can be processed according to guidelines established by those fiscally responsible.
