PROJECT PURPOSE
Active Breathing Coordination-Controlled breathing during radiation to improve patient safety.
EVIDENCE
Our Cancer Centers of Oklahoma have been treating patients for over 12 years and serve a large region of Southwest Oklahoma. This equipment would provide critical breathing support during cancer treatment that all radiation patients need.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Southwest Oklahoma is a Military Community with Ft. Sill, we also serve a majority of rural counties surrounding the Lawton metro area. We have veterans, farmers, homeless, retired, we are part of the county, and anyone that walks through our doors we try to help.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The number of patients that go through radiation, with no increased risk after the equipment is installed.
