PROJECT PURPOSE

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is requesting ARPA funds for the purchase and installation of two (2) 4-ton VRF HVAC systems for the OHP Communication Center. This system will provide clean, sanitized air for the Communications Officers who provide assistance to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

EVIDENCE

The need for a clean-air environment for the Communication Officers, who work within close proximity of one another, will help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.


POPULATION DESCRIPTION

The DPS Communication Center employs dispatchers to answer calls for assistance, collisions, complaints of driving behaviors that are dangerous to the motoring public. The dispatchers work in close proximity of one another. DPS has applied many techniques to maintain social distancing and the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses. A clean-air system is a vital piece to maintain air quality in confined spaces.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The statement of work will consist of the installation of the two (2) 4-ton HVAC systems. Project performance will be measured by acceptance of installation, configuration, and conformation of system operation.
