(Title 3A of the Oklahoma Statutes & 15 USC 6301 et seq "Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act"

EVIDENCE

The Athletic Commission is funded from license fees & assessments on combative sports events. During FY 20 and FY21 there were a reduction of events by approximately 90%

Professional Combative Sports participants could not participate during the pandemic which resulted in loss of income to them and the general public could not attend events because the general public was not allowed to gather during those time which due to no events being produced led to loss of revenue to the Commission which operates on fees associated with events. The economic impact to the state derived from events is approximately 5-7 million dollars annually.
