PROJECT PURPOSE

We are a part of the state and federal national main street organization partially funded by the city of Tulsa. Our organization has the opportunity to acquire a facility for our office, that will also serve as a community hub for economic development and entrepreneurship training/resources. Our organization currently facilitates a microenterprise program through a federal grant for small business owners and new entreprenuers. The facility that will serve as our office and as an incubator for our microenterprise program is scheduled to be purchased by the city of the Tulsa for our main Street program, additionally they have allotted $100,000 for restoration/furnishings. However, to complete the project of restoration of the facility we need a total of $300,000 in order to complete the project. The project will include a complete remodel of the structure, handicap accessibility, structure being brought up to code, signage, furniture, parking, and landscaping. We are requesting these funds as we are a local non-profit who has been affected by covid. For the last two years, we have not been able to hold our two largest fundraising events, our program relies on these fundraising events. We pride ourselves on being an economic driver for the city of Tulsa, Tulsa county, and the state of Oklahoma. We bring businesses to our corridor, provide resources, provide small business training, and grants for area small businesses. help to keep businesses open, etc. with grants we have helped our businesses.
