Town of Bokoshe

PROJECT PURPOSE

Help water loss prevention, control, enhance, reduced costs for meter reading and billing Reduce wear and tear of equipment and parts Improve road pavement and maintenance allow first responders to access water supply quickly and more efficiently allows for town flushing and maintaining sanitized water system allows for the town to update the electronic system of our sewer lift stations allow for grounds maintenance at the retention ponds allow for our water and sewer infrastructure to regain the revenue lost due to the pandemic due to the fact of water and sewer customers inability to pay for utilities due to unemployment from covid 19.

EVIDENCE

I would get with other towns that have completed projects similar to the projects that we have considered. We would look at how they did it, to see if they made mistakes or found a better way. Meet with contractors on a similar basis. Check the cost, time, materials and labor start to finish.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

The Town of Bokoshe and the constituents and Bokoshe public schools will benefit from this program also the rural areas that receive our water. Our town just like many small towns rely on sales tax during the pandemic and everyone staying home for the most part was not spending money therefore sales taxes were very little so some things we normally do as a municipality were put on hold. Also we absorbed the extra revenue set aside for infrastructure enhancements, maintenance and improvement.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The process for measuring project performance will be meeting with our workers, listening to their ideas and constituents. Try to get all the necessary information of the projects, this would include location, materials needed, labor hours and cost of course we will try and get it as close as we can with a most accurate estimate.
