PROJECT PURPOSE

For purchase of a new ambulance to replace our oldest ambulance. It is critical for us to replace this ambulance. To be in compliance with regulation and keep our service open, we have to have two operating ambulances. Our oldest ambulance is completely worn out and has over 200,000 hard miles on it. We only use this particular ambulance if our newest one is already out on a call. It is only a matter of time before the oldest one breaks down to point that we cannot use it. We service all of Nowata County and have mutual aid agreements with surrounding cities and towns in surrounding counties. If this ambulance is not replace before it is inoperable, it risks shutting our service down until we can get it replaced.
