PROJECT PURPOSE
Sewer line replacement in a low income area of town. This will be a 1-1 CDBG grant match
EVIDENCE
This area has been identified as having significant issues and is undersized. Several valves need to be replaced. We hope to have the project engineered the middle of March.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
This line impacts an older neighborhood that is in the income poverty range. The line is small and water pressure is low. Many leaks happen in this area and proper valving is non existent. Because this is one of the older parts of town we may discover lead collars in this area. Like many areas this area was hit by the coronavirus pandemic. Abundant, reliable and clean water is necessary for maintaining a sanitary area, particularly during a pandemic
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
This project will be measured by successful completion of replacement of the aging sewer line and will be completed by following requirements set forth by CDBG
