PROJECT PURPOSE

The purpose is to mitigate the Ecoli from our septic system (Lagoons). These bacteria levels are 3 times the level allowed by the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quoality.

EVIDENCE

We propose to follow the DEQ's recommended mitigation program which is basically dredging and drying the sludge and introducing added sludge eating bacteria as DEQ perscribes.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

The mayor and his immediate family plus grand children were sick with COVID, plus his grand children in addition the town clerk and secretary plus all their family got it then One of our staff got it and his mother died. Over the course of two years we estimate that the infection rate was at least 50%. Since this is a rural part of Oklahoma, people don't have fancy jobs in the City with paid sick leave and medical leave. Everyone in town will benefit from having the lagoons "sanitized". The biggest beneficiaries will be citizens down river from Three Mile Creek to the Washita River to Lake Texoms.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

We will simply measure the sludge tailings excivated from the lagoons, estimated at 77,400 cubic yards. In addition, we test the water levels in the Lagoon's each week, send them to the DEQ for testing and observe their test results.
