PROJECT PURPOSE
The Department of Public Safety, Oklahoma Highway Patrol is requesting ARPA funds to purchase one (1) armored transit van with diesel engine.
EVIDENCE
The armored transit vehicle provides a more secure method of transporting dignitaries. the vehicle would also provide protection to team members and civilians during civil unrest and tactical operations.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
The armored transit vehicle would provide armored protection for dignitary transport assignments. With the vehicle having a secondary air system for passengers in the back, it would have an added protection against the spread of COVID-19 or other viruses, including chemical agents. The vehicle would also provide protection to team members and civilians during civil unrest and tactical operations.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The statement of work will consist of the purchase of the Armored Transit Van and the installation of the necessary law enforcement equipment. The measurement will be acceptance of the van, confirmation of the configuration of systems, and the operational readiness of the vehicle.
