PROJECT PURPOSE

Our water plant is in need of major repairs. Our SCADA system does not work, most of our chemical feed pumps do not work and new pumps can not be connected to our SCADA system. We have decant and sewer ponds that need to be cleaned and do not have equipment to clean them. Filters need media replaced as well as one needing corners to be patched.

EVIDENCE

We have had a Sanitation Survey done by the ODEQ that has sited several issues that have to be corrected. We have been under a consent order for both sewer and water and have been working to get the issues corrected. These repairs would move us forward toward the goal of compliance and a better system.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

We have over 50% Native American population as well as the majority of our area living below the median income for the state.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

ODEQ regulations are the reason for most of the system upgrades that we are needing. Regular system upkeep that has fallen short due to finances is the major cause and regular compliance testing would prove the the projects was done correctly and worked.
