PROJECT PURPOSE

Purchase of a new ambulance for the City of Pawnee ambulance service. We a rural ambulance service in a city without an urgent care or hospital. Our ambulances are the critical piece in our citizens receiving emergency care.

EVIDENCE

We are in need of a new ambulance to be able to continue our services in the city and county of Pawnee. Our city budget does not allow for this cost at this time.


POPULATION DESCRIPTION

We answer emergency calls throughout Pawnee County and neighboring counties when needed. During a pandemic our services are greatly needed here in our city and to also provide mutual aid for all of neighbors. We serve an aging population mostly in Pawnee. They depend on our emergency crews to be there for them in their most vulnerable moments since we are the only emergency service within about 30 miles.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

Our ambulance director keeps records of our services and emergency calls that help us identify the need of Pawnee EMS.
