PROJECT PURPOSE

Hot Spots and Mobile Devices for telehealth and education needs.

EVIDENCE

Currently, due to shortage of counselors and quarantine situations, youth with critical need of licensed counselor intervention do not have access. Rural areas with limited internet access are the areas with acute shortages of qualified counselors. This funding would allow youth in need of treatment to receive help. It will also aide in education when schools impose remote learning. If youth are quarantined, they can still maintain their studies.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

Statewide but mostly in areas that are isolated from readily available resources and internet service. This will also assist those families that have encountered a financial hardship due to COVID-19 illnesses and deaths. This will provide resources and connectivity for youth to continue education and treatment.
