PROJECT PURPOSE

We will offer Hands-on Training through the Life Encouragement & Enrichment Programs, and Self VIEW and Women's Empowerment workshops as part of our Life Transition initiative. These Program s are designed to prepare women in the local community for a life of self-sufficiency after they have gone through divorce, become a widow, or been released from prison. Our mission is to help women reset and break free from the cycle of poverty and dependence. Our goal is to teach them to reshape their minds as they discover their identity, explore their dreams, and connect with their destiny. Our purpose is to ease the suffering and pain women face today by providing knowledge and assistance to those who feel hopeless or stuck on the merry-go-round of life -- experiencing lots of movement but making no progress. Our focus is to restore inspiration by challenging unproductive beliefs and introducing concepts and ideas that propel participants forward to achieve desired outcomes. Our objectives are to develop working relationships with corporate sponsors who will create a functionable network of resources for participant utilization.

EVIDENCE

I myself am a woman who had to reset or start my life over after my marriage of 33-1/2 years ended in 2009. Since that time, I have received four degrees, and am currently scheduled to graduate with my Doctoral degree in Christian Counseling on May 7, 2022. We held Women's Empowerment workshops in 2014-2015 and have served as a teacher/conference facilitator for the past 23 years with Pastor Peaches Johnson, Co-founder of Strictly Business, at Kirk of the Hills Church. It is my desire to relaunch the HOPE Center and our LAW-Life After Welfare program shortly after my graduation.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

The numbers of women incarcerated, divorced and widowed continue to increase in Oklahoma. These are vulnerable populations of women who when they are unable to restore their hope and change their life pathway, become repeat offenders, lose the will to live, feel like failures and oftentimes just cannot see how to connect the dots. Many women still have not recovered from the losses they faced during the pandemic. Some were forced to leave the workplace to provide homeschool, tutoring, or teaching their children because the schools were closed. Women continue to fall behind in a system where only a few have cracked through the glass ceiling. Helping women impacted by the pandemic reboot their lives and find new ways to make income is imperative for families as well as the community.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

Qualitative and quantitative measures are integrated into our performance monitoring plan Examining costs, tracking spending and expenses will ensure we say within the budget. Continued evaluations will be offered as a means to measure program success. 30-60-90-and 120-day follow-ups will be offered to determine if participants are independently maintaining or if they need restorative training. Being aware of the rate of participant productivity will provide a scope for what modifications, if any, may be needed. Our project performance will provide reliable measurement by tracking the Schedule Variance, Cost Variance, Schedule Performance Index, and Cost Performance Index. to determine program success.
