The funding will be utilized for the design and construction to reduce the dam's risk of failure and increase community preparedness.
EVIDENCE
Weleetka Lake Dam has a primary purpose for public water supply and a secondary purpose of recreation. The dam is a critical resource for the Town of Weleetka. The dam is over 80 years old and its condition has declined over time. Repairs are now required that are beyond everyday operation and maintenance. Financial interventions are needed for the Weleetka Public Works Authority to rehabilitate the dam.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION

PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The community will consult with an engineering firm and OWRB to complete the proposed project. The project performance will be measured by the improvement in the condition rating of the dam, and therefore the reduction of risk to downstream communities and water customers.
