PROJECT PURPOSE
Development of a virtual reality application that would allow park visitors of all abilities to experience Oklahoma State Parks, even if they cannot physically visit a park and/or maneuver trails, caves and other natural features.
EVIDENCE
Oklahomans with physical disabilities are often unable to physically visit many of Oklahoma's state parks due to to mobility limitations. This project would create the ability for all Oklahomans to visit Oklahoma's special natural places virtually.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
This project would directly benefit Oklahoma's physically-disabled population, as well as be an asset that educators could use to teach about natural resources and the environment.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
OTRD has a team of web developers who would oversee this project. OTRD would work with the Dept. of Rehabilitative Services and related State entities to ensure that the project would meet the needs of physically-disabled Oklahomans.
