PROJECT PURPOSE
The purpose of this project would be to tear down a very dilapidated public nuisance. The building used to be the hospital for the Town and surrounding communities. It closed down around 1985, it was then sold to a gentleman to be renovated into a hotel. When that fell through it has just sat vacant ever since. It is a public nuisance and a hazard. Windows are broken out, doors are open, and kids/people break in all the time so it is a danger. The owner of the property has not been able to come down and maintain the property since the start of the pandemic due to illness so it is falling in even more despair.
