PROJECT PURPOSE
The Department of Public Safety, Driver License Services Division is requesting ARPA funds to develop an on-line portal to aid customers to access their own individual driving record to identify the current status of their Oklahoma driving privilege.
EVIDENCE
Many states have moved to on-line portals with success for customer facing services. The on-line portal will eliminate the need for any Oklahoma citizen to appear in person at a DPS office, thereby reducing the possible spread of COVID-19 or other contagious virus.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Implementing on-line portals for customer facing services would reduce, if not eliminate, the need for the Department to conduct driving status services face-to-face. This will greatly reduce the possible spread of COVID-19 or other transmittable diseases or contagious viruses, keeping both the employee and the public safer.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The statement of work will consist of developing an on-line portal to be used by any Oklahoma citizen to ascertain the current status of their Oklahoma driving privilege. The project performance will be measured by the acceptance of business rules, configuration of the system, user accepted testing, and confirmation of the system implementation.
