PROJECT PURPOSE
The project is to raise the elevation of a vacant site owned by the CEDC that is currently in a floodplain. The objective is to make the site better suited to the needs of industries that would consider constructing a facility in Chickasha.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION
The site of this project is on the north side of Chickasha, which is primarily occupied by low-income households. Low-income households were less able to accommodate the lifestyle changes imposed by the pandemic response and were less able to obtain treatment if they became ill. A facility enabled by this project would create jobs that would benefit this area.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The CEDC will contract with a service to certify that the flood risk is minimized after completion of the project.
