Town of Hydro

PROJECT PURPOSE

Water main lines have very old and undersized in the city limits of Town of Hydro. We had an engineer study conducted of our Town's water lines and water supply this last year. The study showed most lines in Town were undersized, old and breaking down. Out of ten water wells we only have three functioning water wells. We have two water towers that have been repaired in the last two years with the company that need the repair work stating the towers need to replace. The study showed that towers were not big enough to hold the supply of water that the town needs to have adequate pressure and water supply to the whole town. The project we are applying for is to start replacing our water main lines in the order that the engineer study plotted out.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

Most of the Town of Hydro is low-income people. Replacing these lines would give more water pressure to the houses and the quantity of water would be better.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The engineer study we had done has all the plans and the costs for this project. If needed the engineer the Town employees on as needed bases would be able to do any study or plans.
