PROJECT PURPOSE

This project will accomplish three goals. Goal number one is to reduce our costs. Due to pressure on the supply chain, suppliers have upped our minimum orders tenfold since the beginning of the pandemic. This has created the need to expand our storage space so we can keep growing the business. Currently we?re having to hold our extra supplies at 3rd party storage facilities, which drives up our costs to store and transport the supplies multiple times instead of delivering direct. The new expansion will allow up to keep our costs down, which we pass down to the consumers. While I don?t have an exact figure, thousands and thousands of Oklahomans enjoy our product every year. The second aim is to provide new jobs. In addition to the jobs that will be created by expanding our operations, many jobs will be created in building the new expansion. Based on our experience there will be no less than 100 skilled laborers required for construction, and those are some of the hardest hit during the pandemic. Lastly, this project will allow us to continue our expansion in other states, and spread quality-made Oklahoma products outside Oklahoma.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

According to a recent McKinsey & Company report, manufacturing, warehousing, and construction are some of the most affected industries by Covid. This project is directly addressing those areas. In addition, construction workers are typically lower-income and as stated above have been disproportionately affected.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The performance indicators and programmatic data will be straightforward to collect for our project, leading to highly accurate and timely reporting. Fund dispersal will only occur once our third-party inspector, Allred, LLC has signed off that the work completed and the invoice from the General Contractor match up. We can work with our contractor to provide reports on the number of different workers who have been on-site, so we know directly how many Oklahomans the construction is positively affecting. Once the project is complete, we can report the number of jobs added and/or retained due to the completion of this project.
