PROJECT PURPOSE
Bring broadband capacity directly to Boiling Springs and Little Sahara State Park, both of which have seen an increase in requests for internet service from guests. We will provide high-speed broadband access that can be used for remote work, school and tele-medicine as well as access to online state services. By utilizing existing fiber-optic infrastructure we will extend the high bandwidth and low latencies benefits of fiber optic technology wirelessly, providing internet connections that exceed federal standards to the state parks. This will provide much needed connectivity now, with a future proof expansion plan to meet internet needs into the future. Funds requested in this submission will go directly to get bandwidth to the state parks as we leverage currently deployed, and previously funded, fiber networks of tier 1 and tier 2 internet providers to get high speed internet to the state parks. High-speed internet is essential for these parks to continue to be viable into the future. This will allow those who visit the state parks access to the internet. Internet connectivity has become increasingly necessary in all aspects of life due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the way we interact with each other, businesses, and government.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Guests visiting these State Parks currently do not have access to high speed internet. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen an increase of students and professionals that have transitioned to on-line schooling and remote working and are looking for places where they can practice social distancing and still have access to fast reliable internet. With internet access, State parks will allow those who visit to continue to enjoy the amenities of the park and still be able fulfill their work and schooling requirements. Without an internet connection, state parks will have increasingly less access to government services as Oklahoma continues its initiative to move services to internet based platforms. Internet access at the Boiling Springs Golf Course and the campgrounds at both state parks will allow these locations to attract more guests and provide the premium services guests and event coordinators require.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
Live real time network and customer monitoring systems will be utilized in conjunction with regularly updated coverage maps. Access to this information can be provided to regulators on a regular basis and as requested. New customer numbers will be reviewed monthly and reported as desired. Enterprise accounting and inventory control systems are in place to track all funds and materials designated for this project.
