OKLAHOMANS PROJECTED TO BENEFIT
ESTIMATED PROJECT DURATION
Most of the population of 607 of the town of Glencoe does not have access to broadband. This takes a heavy social and economic toll on our residents keeping them from participating in remote work, distance learning and the digital economy. This is especially true during the time of the ongoing pandemic. Centranet in Collaboration with the town of Glencoe is requesting funds from the State of Oklahoma and are committed to build FTTH to every household in the town. This is a last mile project that will provide access to up to gigabit speed broadband to 100% of the households in Glencoe. We are requesting $1,264,173 from the state for this project and will invest $421,391 of our money to complete the project.
The median household income of Glencoe is $35,455 which is significantly lower than the median income in the US. The poverty rate is over 21%. The pandemic has taken a toll on the population of Glencoe who do not have access to broadband to be able to do remote work or engage in distance learning. The entire population of Glencoe will benefit from this FTTH project.
The project performance will be measured by milestones during a 12 month time-frame. These milestones are discussed in detail in the Project Narrative Document that is attached. The project will be completed within 12 months.
