PROJECT PURPOSE

Replace 3 miles of 16" water main transmission lines coming from the City of Mustang well field. Lines are currently aged and experiencing leaks. This line is the main line from the well fields that provide water to the City of Mustang. It is crucial that these lines are in top condition in order for water to make it to the residents.

EVIDENCE

Over the last 4 years crews have worked on over 40 leaks in the transmission lines. These leaks cause interruptions in service provided to citizens. A new line would assist in mitigating such call outs and disruptions of service.


POPULATION DESCRIPTION

The City of Mustang residents will be impacted by this project providing less interruptions in water service and production. The pandemic has seen more residents work form home and the need for continued service has never been greater.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

Engineered plans include timeline that contractor agrees to and has project deadlines that must be met. Programmatic data is collected through correspondence with council making sure the project meets the requirements. Financial data through the City of Mustang finance department. filing by the required submittal deadlines. All project deadlines, including reporting, is overseen by the Assistant City Manger.
