PROJECT PURPOSE

The FTTH project for the town of Wellston will deploy last-mile fiber optic cable to approximately 381 locations serving a population of 775. Wellston will have access to high speed internet at speeds up to 1000 Mbps symmetric after the completion of this project.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

The population of has a median household income of $47,917 and has seen a decline of 4.64% in the last 2 years. This is significantly lower than the median household income in US at $65,712 and also less than the median income in Oklahoma. Lack of broadband keeps the population of remotely working and keeps the children from utilizing distance learning. Both these activities are a priority during the pandemic.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The project performance will be measured by milestones as detailed in the attached project narrative. The total project timeline is approximately 12 months and is divided in to 7 miles stones. The project performance will also be measured by ensuring that most of the population of Wellston gets access to highspeed broadband utilizing FTTH.
