PROJECT PURPOSE

The Town of Rattan has a Small Diameter Waste System desperately needing repairs. Our town will not have the funds to complete this project. We have a Sanitary Sewer Evaluation report completed by Pipeline Analysis. LLC via Wall Engineering. We received grants from Choctaw Nation and USDA to pay for these tests. The tests were completed and Wall Engineering has given us an amount it would take to repair all issues. I have attached a sewer system cost estimate outlining the complete project.

EVIDENCE

Wall Engineering contacted Pipeline Analysis, LLC to perform wastewater collection system inspection services in the Town of Rattan. The tests they performed validates the interventions proposed on this new project. I have attached

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

The proposed sewer project will serve the Town of Rattan. the system is in desperate need of repairs/rehabilitation. It's a Small Diameter System installed in 2007. The system design is rare because it is constructed of 4" diameter pvc pipe. Standard precast 48" diameter manholes were used at major junctions but cleanouts were installed in lieu of manholes at spacings of approximately 200-400 ft. intervals. Today the system is unable to properly operate due to poor installation and lack of capacity. The treatment system is comprised of wastewater lagoons, lift stations and a collection system. The purpose of this project is to make improvements to the collection system in order to restore and increase the capacity of the collection system. Our community consists of the Rattan School, senior citizen and low rent housing, churches, retail and residential areas. We are on Hwy 3 of which hwy 93 intersects and also on an Oklahoma fishing trail project recently implemented. There are 5 lakes around us and its very busy with more people moving in and coming into Hochatown near Broken Bow, Oklahoma. We also live in a low income area of Oklahoma and cannot raise sewer prices enough to make the repairs needed.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

USDA and Wall Engineering will be heading up the sewer project to make sure project is completed according to specifications and required data.
