PROJECT PURPOSE

Replace the sewer line that runs down Peniel street. This line serves most of the City and is aging out quickly. This line is often the source of large line breaks. This line serves many businesses, residential areas, Southern Nazarene University and Churches. This sewer line is very deep and in the middle of the road, therefore it is extremely difficult and unsafe for workers to repair. Replacement of this line would benefit a larger percentage of the population of Bethany. When this line isn't working properly, raw sewage may enter homes and businesses.

EVIDENCE

This project is needed to replace an aging line in order to provide sanitary conditions for schools, businesses and residents in the City of Bethany

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

Most citizens and businesses have been impacted in one way or another by COVID. Those who have been most negatively impacted are the poor, disabled, elderly, very young. These populations will benefit by having more reliable, sanitary sewer conveyanc- particularly remote workers and those who stay home as care givers. Businesses need clean, safe sewage conveyance to operate.
