PROJECT PURPOSE

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Fleet Division is seeking to increase communication throughout the state by purchasing updated radios for Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) vehicles and handheld radios that can operate different channels and bandwidths.

EVIDENCE

Better communication capabilities can be assessed by regional tests with dispatch centers from different law enforcement agencies.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

This project will allow better communications among first responders interacting with OHP while serving all Oklahoma citizens and those visiting the state of Oklahoma.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The statement of work will consist of purchasing hand-held radios, radios to be installed in OHP vehicles, and support equipment. The measurement will be the installation and testing of the radios, configuration and confirmation of system operation.
