PROJECT PURPOSE
This will replace 8 of 16 large motors and 8 of 16 large pumps. The motors and pumps will meet the latest efficiency standards and have a lower long-term-cost-of-ownership. The motors vary in size from 700 to 200 horsepower. Some of the pumps are vertical and 90 feet long.
EVIDENCE
The motors have been rebuilt numerous times and the pumps are wearing due to the on-off operation rather than continuously online.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
All six cities and four counties have vulnerabilities. Four of the WLMCD members are small and rural. This project will prevent the cost of pump and motor replacement from being passed on to the citizens.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
