PROJECT PURPOSE

UDI needs an immediate infusion of financial support to resume full preparation for CY2020-2021, current and emerging United States Air Force (USAF) & Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) requirements. Over the last 18-24 months, United Dynamics? US Government Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) awarded contracts have lagged $3.7M behind specific warfighter projected United States Air Force (USAF) & Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) requirements due to COVID pandemic complications. UDI provides these warfighters with not only >200+ cost effective overhauled and new aircraft components, but reverse engineering to overcome critical/grounding USAF & DLA obsolescent aircraft parts development and ultimately combat readiness. The USAF F-16, C-130 & Agile Combat Support (ACS) Program Offices have already asked UDI to assist with new legacy component development that will require sorely depleted capital investment to complete. Throughout the pandemic, UDI has fully retained, trained and equipped its talented aerospace workforce as it is the cornerstone for both UDI and ultimately the USAF/DLA?s success.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

UDI currently has 47 employees. Nearly 70% of the company managers have risen to leadership roles from vulnerable populations. With over 23% of our workforce having served in the military, UDI is clearly committed to supporting and hiring Veterans. With ARPA support, we can reach our goals to deliberately and systematically grow a very stable aerospace & defense workforce during these unprecedented times. These job opportunities will help decrease the spike in unemployment by putting more individuals back to work in Oklahoma?s #1 growing industry. In addition, United Dynamics is committed to buying local (city and state), when possible. Tax dollars generated from new hires (payroll taxes) and buying local (sales tax) benefit our local communities. As we grow, our property taxes will increase which will help support our local schools, both in Pottawatomie County and Oklahoma County. United Dynamics is also currently standing up a community outreach program in an effort to give back to our community.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The foundation for all UDI projects is to meet or surpass US Government Cost, Schedule & Performance requirements. a.) Our Cost element focuses primarily on continuous process improvement and driving cost down for the USAF/DLA and the warfighter. UDI closely monitors productivity and aims to mirror actual labor versus projected labor costs. Overall cost variance is closely tracked using proposed versus actual costs for the entire program, b.) The Schedule element is another customer satisfaction indicator that tracks on-time delivery of product accounting for project modifications and/or variances, c.) The Performance element concentrates on quality of product and overall customer satisfaction. The required programmatic data is tracked and collected by program management & accounting team and maintained by UDI within our Costpoint Enterprise Resource Planning system.
