PROJECT PURPOSE

The Overholser Dam has been identified as a high hazard dam in poor condition. This project will provide improvements to the Overholser Dam Gate House, Overholser Bypass Canal, Bluff Creek Canal Inlet, and the Hefner Canal Gatehouse. The Overholser Dam is instrumental in controlling the river's flow into the northeast part of Overholser Reservoir and into the Bluff Creek Canal leading to Hefner Reservoir. These improvements provide a level of safety to ensure uninterrupted operation of the dam to maintain appropriate water levels in the rivers, canals, and reservoirs.

EVIDENCE

This project does not require interventions.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The City of Oklahoma City uses key performance indicators for projects to evaluate the success of a project. Measures include tracking actual to planned Project Completion Time, Budget to Actual, and Engineering Estimate compared to Actual Bids. Plan for collecting required programmatic data includes inspection, schedule tracking/Gantt Charts, and progress meetings using software such as GIS, Primavera, and future use of a Project Management Information System.
