PROJECT PURPOSE
This project will develop a community complex to include soccer, softball, baseball and t-ball fields, walking trails, parking and concessions. It will also include engineering costs for proper drainage and construction of the facilities. This project will improve sports fields available and overall community health and well being.
EVIDENCE
There is an existing ballfield in the proposed location, but due to drainage and other issues it is not usable. Citizens of Pauls Valley as well as surrounding communities have expressed the need for this ball field, additional fields and walking trails. It is located right off of I-35, providing easy access for surrounding communities.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
With the loss of revenue the City was unable to continue work on this project. The ballfield, soccer fields and walking trails is open to the community and provides a place for citizens of Pauls Valley and surrounding communities to enjoy the outdoors, aiding in their physical and mental well being.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The City Manager and recreation director will work closely with the engineers to track project performance and completion by holding regular meetings with contractors and engineers. Once complete, the recreation department will manage the facility and track the activities and benefits to the community and surrounding areas. The recreation director and City Clerk will work together to submit all required reporting.
