PROJECT PURPOSE

Hilliary Communications is requesting $4,325,262 in ARPA funds to complete our Southwest Fiber Conversion project and deliver faster, more reliable fiber internet to more than 25,000 homes in southwestern Oklahoma. With investments from the American Recovery Program Act funds, Hilliary Communications will be able to quickly improve the quality of life and expand opportunities for approximately 25,800 residences in dozens of communities in Harmon, Greer, Beckham, Kiowa, Jackson, Washita, Tillman, Comanche and Cotton counties, effectively delivering affordable and high-speed connectivity for the foreseeable future. By connecting new service areas into our established network, valued at $100 million, we can effect change for these communities quickly and efficiently. This $4,325,262 in ARPA funds will undoubtedly be a source of positive change in countless lives across parts of southwest Oklahoma by enhancing access to education, better healthcare, and new work opportunities. The opportunity is vast, and the impact of providing access to modern life through broadband expansion will be felt for generations to come.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

The communities served by this project reside in some of Oklahoma?s most expansive farming counties, containing millions of acres in farmland and producing hundreds of millions of dollars in crops and livestock according to the 2017 Census of Agriculture.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

We will prepare a report to highlight the number of homes passed, the number of homes served, and the most common speed selected by the customer.
