PROJECT PURPOSE
The wastewater portion of our system has numerous major defects starting with a broken pipe at the creek crossing on south main. This has caused a bypass of sewage at this location. The rental for a temporary pump is excessive and unsustainable. We have urgent needs with our water/wastewater system: Lagoon construction is needed, dikes are in need of repair, relocating water lines to prevent damage, relocate sewer lines, install steel casing on new lines. We are in need of a new computer system at the water plant as our current system is operating on Windows 7. We need to replace the 16 year-old filters at the plant.
EVIDENCE
Current inspection from DEQ and ORWA have confirmed the urgent needs for these projects
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Our community's water and wastewater system is in urgent need of upgrades and repairs due to severe neglect over the last 10-15 years. This impacts all our residents and future residents.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
We will work in tandem with DEQ and ORWA to complete these projects.
