PROJECT PURPOSE

Most of the population of 2900 of the city of Perkins does not have access to broadband. This takes a heavy social and economic toll on the residents keeping them from participating in remote work, distance learning and the digital economy. This is especially true during the time of the ongoing pandemic. Centranet in Collaboration with the city of Perkins is requesting funds from the State of Oklahoma and are committed to build FTTH to every household in the town. This is a last mile project that will provide access to up to gigabit speed broadband to 100% of the households in Langston. We are requesting $5,939,881.50 from the state for this project and will invest $1,979,960.50 of our money to complete the project.
