PROJECT PURPOSE
The project would repair the current City Hall Building, the old city hall building and the current fire department. The city hall buildings are historical buildings in our downtown area that need tuck pointing on the brick and repairs to structural concrete, including steps. The fire department needs interior and exterior repairs, including a roof, stairs and removal of mold.
EVIDENCE
The unrepaired buildings are continually deteriorating, becoming structurally deficient and inefficient. The fire department repairs are needed to maintain a working fire department, which is vital to our community and surrounding areas.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
The fire department serves all of Pauls Valley and is called to surrounding areas. Their call outs have doubled during the pandemic, making it crucial to repair their building.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The Assistant City Manager and City Clerk will work with contractors to complete the project. It will be monitored and the progress will be reported to the City Council monthly.
