PROJECT PURPOSE
Provide educational funding to support needed physical improvements at our Thunderbird Challenge Program (TCP) facility in Pryor Oklahoma.
EVIDENCE
The Thunderbird Challenge Program (TCP) is the premiere youth intervention program in Oklahoma. However, its physical infrastructure is dated and was not supportable during the Pandemic. This intervention will provide much needed updates to the physical infrastructure at TYA.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
At risk children are the primary population served by TCP. During the pandemic, this group was particularly hard hit by forced school closures and at home depression and violence.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
We maintain full time construction, administrative, and financial staff to track programatic data for Federal program reimbursement. We routinely do so in the building and maintenance of our National Guard facilities throughout the State.
