PROJECT PURPOSE
Repair, replacement and construction of fishing docks, courtesy docks, boat ramps, fish cleaning stations and related amenities to improve water access and increase tourism to state.
EVIDENCE
Many boat ramps across the state park system are highly deteriorated and lack courtesy docks to allow people to more easily load and unload watercraft.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Oklahoma's state parks are located in rural communities, most of which are low-income. Improvements to the parks will spur increased visitation, which generates increased economic activity in these communities.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
OTRD has a capital projects team that manages the agency's construction projects. We will utilize an existing design-build contract to implement ARPA-funded capital projects.
