PROJECT PURPOSE
The Day After Yesterday Project 401-Kids Inc. project is to build a "full-term" Christian home for those girls who have been recovered from sex-trafficking by law enforcement. The first of six to be placed in Oklahoma. The first in the Nation. This is a multi-level project. This project includes: ? Provide a full-term loving and Christian home environment for girls 15 years and younger. ? Collect data to better understand the who, what, where, when and how. ? Build a better model for mental health treatments for sex-trafficked children. ? Enhance the ability for these young victims to bond and learn from mature Christian women. ? To build general life skills as well as functioning day-to-day life skills. ? To provide advanced opportunities for personal growth. ? To present options for education beyond the basic high school diploma. These young victims will be provided protection, structure, education, life skills, mental health care, medical care and a chance to bond with mature Christian women. These young girls will not want for any basic needs. Life skills will be provided to the young ladies to better their life and reintegration into society. In a nutshell, we will care for them like they are our own daughters.
EVIDENCE
A host of evidence is available from intervention of adults in sex-trafficking who have recovered and become healthy and successful participants in our society. There is no current studies or research which would lead one to believe these successes can not be obtained with juvenile girls.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
One of the most vulnerable populations, is the young girls who have been forced into sex-trafficking with no pandemic STD healthcare provided. The pandemic caused loss and concern about the loss of revenue by Oklahoma corporations who would normally step forward to help these victims. Because of the pandemic, these young girls have been denied a safe and loving home to heal and mature. The current Oklahoma system to take these victims into a safe and healing home is greatly flawed.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The Day After Yesterday project can be measured by the continued progress in mental and social health of the juvenile girls. Their progress will be recorded by licensed social and or mental health workers. Depending on their age, some may be as young as ten years, several years of therapy, nurturing and personal growth will be obtained to conclude the performance of the overall program.
