Comanche; Cotton; Jefferson; Stephens
PROJECT PURPOSE
This project will take electrical power (4,160 volts) into the 3 pumphouses and distribute it to the 16 pumps via variable speed drives. Pump power monitoring, vibration and temperature detectors will be added and be accessible remotely. The ITE Gould starter "buckets" will be converted to a vacuum type.
EVIDENCE
Age and obsolescence of the electrical system. Parts of this system were obsolete when installed in the 1970s. The pump control system cannot precisely match delivery with demand which causes unplanned cycling and wear on the electrical system.
