EVIDENCE
Preliminary engineering reports from Wall Engineering, Inc. and WDB engineering. OSU wellhead protection program for water sources. Seminole, Earlsboro and Tri-County RWD are fully dependent upon water wells. With increased fracturing for oil wells, the threat of contamination is high. This project would allow these users to have access to surface water treatment through Tecumseh. In addition, this grant replaces a water tower known have lead parts and connections.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
Seminole, Tecumseh, Earlsboro and Rural Water district customers all have significant federally recognized low income populations. All of these communities were tremendously impacted by shut downs of manufacturers, healthcare procedures and restaurants. Clearly, the worst impacts for these areas was the loss of life of many citizens.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
City of Seminole is exceptional at grant administration including programmatic data collection and will be the lead on this grant. Performance will be measured by the ability for the system to join together the over 25,000 citizens in their water security. Thus, once the system is online performance will be assessed by the free flow of water between currently separate systems.
