PROJECT PURPOSE
The City has substantial storm damage to the overflow structure at the Old City Lake. The City is facing the probable failure of the structure and dam, which supplies water to the citizens and three Rural Water Districts. The repairs to the dam are critical for the health and safety of all the recipients of water supplied by the City. If the failure occurs during a flood, there is a potential for loss of county roads and a state highway.
EVIDENCE
The structure is currently failing to keep water secured and controlled as it leaves the reservoir. It is gradually getting worse with each rain and needs to be repaired as soon as possible.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
All citizens of Pauls Valley receiving water and the Rural Water Districts will benefit from this project.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The City will hire an Engineer the will work closely with the OWRB and City Officials to complete and monitor the project.
